The Dark Mermaid

This mermaid has no soul. She's beautiful, she's curious, she leads men to think she feels for them
But in all reality, it's all just a game.
She comes to the shore and lures men to her... they come deeper and deeper into the ocean
Begging for her to come with them
But she refuses and pulls them further out.
They surrender to her dark eyes like two reflections of the ocean itself.
True to her nature, she pulls them down into their deaths,
Pulling their corpses until the fish finish them off and she resurfaces to a new victim.

She has no intention of leaving her watery world to tread on the dry ruins of man's world.

The sea's bigger.
The sea's darker, mysterious, primitive, calm, quiet.
Love does not exist. Hate does not exist.
No confusion here but to live and let live. Die and let die.
